This is a a 12" repeat design that was hand painted in gouache. When beginning this design, I wanted to show the artistic process that goes into designing, specifically designing for fashion. The Escher inspired hands are drawing hands signing the word "art", because art is what makes design a possibility. The eye represents an eye for design, color, and all things in between. The fashion sketch is the next step in creating an unforgettable garment, followed by a sewing machine, bringing the artists vision to life.
